CONNECT

  • What event/s have changed and/or shaped your life? What are the changes that happened in your life after the event/s?
WORD
  • Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”; For God so loved the world,[i] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:3, 16-17  (Read John 3:1-21 for context)
  • Nicodemus thinks that if you ask the right question and get the right answers, if you recognize Jesus a little bit, build a religious and prestigious life, if you funnel your money into the right causes and live a moral life then you become a follower of Christ. But these things don’t make one a disciple of Christ. What is a disciple?
    • Every disciple has a profound encounter with Jesus. A disciple stay, remain, and stay attached to Jesus.
    • A disciple believe and knows who Jesus is. Disciples identify Him and see his glory, his radiance.
APPLICATION
  • What did Jesus mean about being born again? How is a person “born again”?
  • How have you encountered Jesus this week? How did it change your heart and your mind?
PRAYER
  • Thank God for His salvation and the victorious life that He has given you. Pray that you’ll have a fresh encounter with Him this week and that you’ll reflect His glory and radiance in your home and school/workplace.
  • Intercede for your family members and friends who have not received Christ as their Lord and Savior. Pray for opportunities to present the gospel to them, even this week.
