“”No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Matthew 6:24 ESV
Money itself is not the problem. The love of money is. (1 Timothy 6:10) When it comes to our finances, do we believe and trust Jesus or something else? Do we really love God or money?
APPLICATION
Read Acts 4:33. What is the best gift that we can ever give to others? How are you being generous with your life and testimony to your family and friends?
How does generosity lead to prosperity? How is biblical prosperity different from the world’s definition of prosperity?
PRAYER
Pray for each other’s needs and claim God’s promises over your finances and health. Pray for a generous heart and for opportunities to bless others this week.
Pray that the gospel would continue to be preached and more disciples would be made through the church. Intercede for your family members and friends who have not received Christ as their Lord and Savior. Pray for opportunities to present the gospel to them, even this week.
