Set Apart: Like Him

CONNECT
  • What in the message most stood out to you? What do you think God is telling you through this message?

WORD
  • And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place[a] of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people,[b] and God himself will be with them as their God.[c] 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4
  • We are being transformed into the image and likeness of Jesus by His grace and by the power of the Holy Spirit. One day, as God has promised, this process of being made holy will be complete.
    • No more pain. (Romans 8:18)
    • No more sin. (1 Corinthians 15:54,55) Jesus has already defeated sin and death on the cross and through Him we can claim the promise of eternal life.  
    • No more decay. (1 Corinthians 15:42,43)
APPLICATION
  • Read John 16:33. Why can we persevere amidst trials and difficulties?
  • How can you be strengthened to persevere in faith everyday?
  • Do you know someone who is going through difficulties right now?How can you encourage him/her with God’s promises?
PRAYER
  • Ask God to increase your understanding and faith to embrace and receive His promise of a future life with no more pain, sin or decay.
  • Pray for the grace to live a holy life and to be quick to repent in times of shortcomings.
  • Pray for opportunities to share the gospel to your friends and family.

    • 罪はない (1 コリント 15:54,55) イエス様がすでに十字架の上で、罪と死に打ち勝ちました。イエス様を通して、私たちは永遠の命の約束を宣言できます。

お祈り
  • 自分の理解と信仰が深まり、痛みも、罪も、朽ちることもない将来という神様からの約束をしっかり受け止められるよう祈りましょう。
  • 清い人生を送り、自分の欠点に向き合ったらすぐに悔い改められるよう、神様の憐れみを求めて祈りましょう。
  • 友達や家族に福音を伝える機会を求めて祈りましょう。
