WORD
  • “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2
  • We cannot be a friend of the World and be a friend of God. Offering ourselves as a living sacrifice means we need to die to ourselves every day and choose to live for Him every day. We love the world so that we can minister to it. We do not conform to the patterns of the world but we are transformed (from inside out).
  • We are called to live his good, pleasing and perfect will. We are transformed to ultimately Honor God and make disciples.
APPLICATION
  • How can we present our bodies as living sacrifices everyday?
  • What things do you think keep us from becoming a transformed person and living sacrifice for God? How and why is it possible to have our minds and lives be transformed?
  • How are you experiencing and living God’s good, pleasing and perfect will right now? How are you living your purpose and mission to honor God and make disciples?
PRAYER
  • Thank God for transforming us through Jesus’ finished work on the cross. Pray that you’ll be able to live His good, pleasing and perfect will everyday.
  • Pray that you for opportunities to reach out to and share the gospel to your family and friends.
