聞いて, 受け取る: 恐れはいらない

御使いは彼らに言った。「恐れることはありません。今、私はこの民全体のためのすばらしい喜びを知らせに来たのです。きょうダビデの町で、あなたがたのために、救い主がお生まれになりました。この方こそ主キリストです。（ルカ２：１０－１１）クリスマスのメッセージをしっかり受け止めましょう。もし今、恐れているものごとがあれば、それは福音の喜びをまだ本当の意味では捉えていないからです。クリスマスは、恐れに終わりをもたらしました。神様は、私たちが全ての恐れを主に委ね、主がもたらした本当の喜びを味わうことを願っておられます。自分自身がキリストを自分の主としてあがめる必要を理解して初めて、クリスマスの本当のメッセージがわかります。（ルカ２：１４）

今、神様に委ねたい恐れや心配は何ですか。どのようにすれば、自分のすることを通して、より一層神様をたたえることができますか。どうすれば、自分の友達や家族に対して、喜びを流す者となれますか。
お祈り
イエス様を通して本当の喜びを私たちに与えて下さった神様に感謝しましょう。与えられた喜びを日々実感し、表すことができるようお祈りしましょう。友達や家族に福音を知らせる機会を求めて祈りましょう。

“And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We need to behold the message of Christmas. If you’re afraid of anything today, it’s because you have not taken a real grip on the gospel of joy. Christmas is the end of fear. God is inviting you to surrender all your fears to Him and embrace the real joy that He brings. The only way to really understand the message of Christmas is to see that you have to glorify him as Lord. (Luke 2:14)
APPLICATION
What fear or worry do you have now that you want to surrender to God? How can you glorify God more in the things that you do? How can you be a channel of joy to your friends and family this week?
PRAYER
Thank God for giving us real joy through Jesus. Pray that you’ll be able to live out the joy that you have. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel to your family and friends.
