みことば
  • イエスは答えて言われた。「この水を飲む者はだれでも、また渇きます。しかし、わたしが与える水を飲む者はだれでも、決して渇くことがありません。わたしが与える水は、その人のうちで泉となり、永遠のいのちへの水がわき出ます。」ヨハネ4:13,14
  • 神の臨在とは、水が私たちの生活に必須であるのと同様になくてはならないものです。この新年までわたしたちを保ってくれたものは、生ける水である神の臨在ゆえです。どうすれば、人生において、もっと神の臨在を満喫できるでしょうか？
    • 自分の人生で神が働く余地を確保する。邪魔になるものを排除し、神に立ち返り、悔い改める。 (使徒行伝 3:19-20参照)
    • 自分が何に（人生の）溝を埋めさせているのかを、注意深く見る。人生において流れている神の臨在の流れを止めるような死んだ水があるならば、注意深く見て気をつける。 (ｲｻﾞﾔ 41:18参照)
日々の生活にあてはめる 
  • 神の臨在のなかで生きることは、なぜ良いのですか？
  • 神の臨在をより感じながら生きるには、毎日の生活でどんな工夫ができますか？
  • 神との時間を邪魔するものにはどんなものがありますか？そうさせないために、何ができますか？
お祈り
  • 過去1年の神の愛と誠実さに感謝をしましょう。
  • 人生において、更なる神の臨在があるように祈りましょう。 神とより深い関係構築を邪魔するものが何であるのか示してくださるよう、神に祈りましょう。

CONNECT

WORD
  • “Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14 (NIV)
  • Like water, God’s presence is essential in our daily life. What will carry us through the New Year is the presence of God, the living water. How can we enjoy more of God’s presence in our life?
    • Make room for God to work in your life. Remove distractions and turn to  God and repent (Read Acts 3:19-20)
    • Watch what we allow to fill the ditches. Watch for dead water that stops the flow of (water) God’s presence in your life. (Read Isaiah 41:18)
APPLICATION
  • What are the benefits of being in the presence of God?
  • How can we arrange our daily activities to experience more of God’s presence?
  • What things or activities hinder you from spending time with God? What will you do about it?
PRAYER
  • Thank God for His love and faithfulness over the past year.
  • Pray for more of God’s presence in your daily life. Ask God to reveal things that hinder you from having a deeper relationship with Him.
