みことば

あなたがたは、このように主キリスト・イエスを受け入れたのですから、彼にあって歩みなさい。キリストの中に根ざし、また建てられ、また、教えられたとおり信仰を堅くし、あふれるばかり感謝しなさい。（コロサイ2:6-7） キリストがすべての一番であるからこそ、私たちの生き方においても一番であるべきです。どうすれば、本当の意味で主において生きることができるでしょうか？ 主に根づく  イエスとつながっていることは、まるで土にしっかり根をはった木の根っこのようです。ですから、イエスとつながっているだけでなく、主に頼っている地に足のついた人間であると言えます。イエスと個人的な関係があることが、イエスに根付いていると言えます。 主の中に建て上げられており、信仰の上に堅く立つ。キリストへの信仰に疑いがない。成長が重要ー主がどのような方であり、自分がどのような者であるかという知識と理解を深めていく。

適用

クリスチャンとしての人生とはどういうことかについて例えを交えてついて話し合ってください。神にあって歩むことを助け、うながす方法はどんなことがありますか？神との歩みを邪魔するものは何ですか？ マタイ13:3-6を読んでください。なぜ、キリストに根づいていることが重要なのですか？ マタイ7:24-27にある知恵をもって家を建てる者のようになるためにはどうすればよいでしょうか？

お祈り

神のご性質と神が救ってくださったことに感謝しましょう。自分で自分を救うことができないこと、また、何をするにも神の助けが必要なことを認識しましょう。 神について行き、神に従うことができるよう恵みを与えてくださるよう祈りましょう。神を喜ばせないことすべてから背を向ける決心をしましょう。 神のめぐみによって変えられるという神の約束を宣言し、みなさんの変えられた人生が他の人々が神に近づくことができるきっかけとなるよう祈りましょう。

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” -Colossians 2:6-7 Since Christ is first in all things; he must be first in how we live. How can we truly live in Him? Be rooted in Him  Being rooted in Him is just like a root  going down the deep soil. Therefore, it is not factual, but a real living person dependence on Jesus Christ.  It is a personal relationship with Him. Be built up in Him and established in faith. Be firm in the faith of Christ.  Growth is important -in knowledge and understanding of who He is and who you are.

APPLICATION

Discuss the metaphor of “walking” in the Christian life. What are ways that either help our walk in God? What are the things that hinder our walk? Read Matthew 13:3-6. Why is it important to be rooted in Christ? How can we be like the wise builder in Matthew 7:24-27?

PRAYER

Thank God for who He is and how He saved you. Acknowledge that you cannot save yourself and you need God every day. Ask God to give you the grace to follow His ways and obey Him. Commit to turn away from anything that doesn’t please Him. Claim God’s promise of transformation by His grace and pray that your transformed life will draw many others to Him.
