Was there a time when you gave sacrificially?(can be other things, not just money) Share your experience to the group.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19
We can relate to the widow’s story in 1 Kings 17:8-16 (Read the passage for reference) whenever we are faced with the possibility of generosity. We see the needs and are moved by generosity, but then we are ask ourselves, “What if God doesn’t have our backs?” What if there is no resupply that comes and I am left to live with less for myself?
How we grapple with the resupply promise of God determines our level of generosity. If you really believe in the promise of God’s resupply then you’d be more generous.
How does the revelation of God’s generosity in Christ change the way you approach giving?
Name some of the fruits or effects of generosity mentioned in the preaching today and share which of these have you experienced in your life.
Read Luke 21:1-4. What are the things you can learn and apply from these verses?
Pray for those that you know who need to hear the gospel and encounter Jesus. Pray and share as a group about how you would like to to share who Jesus is to the person during this week.
