26 Then God said, “Let us make man[a] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” -Genesis 1:26
God is the beginning and He created all and everything that man and woman would need. He has created us in His own likeness- created out of love, of high esteem, of holiness.
Even after the fall of man, God’s generosity didn’t stop. God sent Jesus, the greatest gift of all, to live the life we should have lived and die the death we should have died. The question is not “is God really generous?” Thequestion is, are we seeking our generous God?”
APPLICATION
Read Ephesians 1:3-10. What are the spiritual blessings blessings we have in Christ?
Do you sometimes get anxious or fearful about money? How does the truth that God is your source affect that anxiety and fear?
PRAYER
Pray for guidance to know the ways in which God is leading you to be generous. Pray for a deeper understanding of God’s generosity toward us in Christ.
Pray for those that you know who need to hear the gospel and encounter Jesus. Pray and share as a group about how you would like to to share who Jesus is to the person during this week.
